The EdgeGuard series is Buff and Shine’s flagship foam pad line, built on the same proven foams as URO-Tec but enhanced with advanced design features. Each pad incorporates a patented EdgeGuard molded barrier that protects against accidental panel edge contact and extends pad life. With a slightly larger face diameter, EdgeGuard pads provide improved coverage and a safer polishing experience without sacrificing performance. Unique to Buff and Shine, EdgeGuard technology is unlike anything else on the market. Choose URO-Tec for core performance, and EdgeGuard when safety, control, and pad longevity are top priorities. EG72 – Maroon (Medium Cut) The Maroon EdgeGuard pad is the workhorse of the line, delivering reliable medium-cut performance for a wide range of polishing jobs. Its balanced foam structure makes it the most popular option, ideal for one-step compound and polish combinations. Best paired with medium-cut compounds or all-in-one products where correction and a clean finish are both desired. Blueberry (Heavy Polishing) The Blueberry EdgeGuard pad delivers heavy polishing performance, ideal for refining compounding haze or removing moderate swirls and scratches. Its dense foam structure provides strong correction while still finishing clean. Best paired with heavy polishes or light compounds when extra bite is needed before final finishing. In many cases, it finishes down so well that no second step is required. Yellow (Polishing) The Yellow EdgeGuard pad is the standard polishing pad in the lineup, designed to remove light swirls, haze, and oxidation while restoring depth and clarity.
